I drive my car everyday right now.. But I'm picking up a DD in a week or two. So then My TA is my summer / race car (lol). So, in general, about how much HP could I expect and what kind of options do I have?

I say stuff as big of a cam in there as you can!!
That is the only way to fly!!
No seriously, decide what you want the car to do...and mod in that direction. Gotta have a gameplan, don't want to do things twice.
