Dissapointed....Inside.
Well made it to the track tonight, just made motor passes. Mods in sig, hadn't ran it since the cam swap. Time slip as follows:
60 FT : 1.8503
330 FT: 5.2170
1/8 ET: 8.0261
1/8 MPH: 87.38
1000 ET: 10.4636
1/4 ET: 12.5331
1/4 MPH: 108.96
Needless to say, I'm very dissapointed. Car seems to run strong, but I thought it'd be stronger than this. I still don't have an LS6 intake or underdrive pulley, but figured I'd do better. Any input would be SERIOUSLY appreciated.

Did you ever have it at the track before? What did it run before the cam swap? Also, i'd say if you could get your 60s down a little lower you would drop your et by quite a bit! That would put you at low 12s and you still have room for improvement with the intake and pulley. By the way, how well does that stall work with that cam?

As far as I can tell, the cam works just fine with the converter. The cam doesn't wanna tug the car at idle and seems to pull real strong. Humidity was around 80% last night as well, not sure if that had anything to do with it, though. Thanks for the input guys.

Weather temp and humidity affect your ET A LOT! If you know what the temps were when you ran I could find out what the DA was. I bet it was probably over 1800ft. Not good weather if you want a good mph. I wouldn't sweat it. Come winter you'll probably trap over 112 w/ the same setup. Oh, what was your a/f at when you had it tuned? -Mark

How much is the LS1 intake choking the motor? I know you have a high stall, but what did it dyno? Your MPH is way low. Do you have the dyno graph with a/f? I would have expected a low 12.

I think the LS1 intake is choking my motor, honestly. It dynoed 352rwhp on a Mustang dyno, and we couldn't get the verter to lock. 2 days after that, my stock tranny grenaded and now I have a Fuddle 3600 in it with a Dr. Evil stage 1 4L60E.

Arch what gears do you have....I have only ran 109, but im not dissapointed anymore. I have a HEAVY car, 3.73's, and stall, all recipes for low traps. Dont be too worried bout traps, they dont mean that much. I have destroyed M6 cars running high 12's and 110-114 MPH. That does not mean that they have more power or anything. Just the way they geared. Who cares if they run 5 or 6 MPH faster if i cross the line 4 or 5 car lengths ahead of them. And like mentioned it was hot and humid here in deep south, so cars sometimes dont trap what some other guys in northern or midwestern states do. Weather and temp means alot. Good luck

I have 3.42's. I'm about to go ahead and spend the cash on an LS6 intake and underdrive pulley. It -should- get me into the low 12's, maybe high 11's in decent weather on motor, and then I'll go ahead and spray it again. At this point, I really think the LS1 intake is kinda holding me back.

I think for a stalled car you should 60' a lot better than that. I don't
know what the problem is tires, stall, tune or heat and humidity but I
would be upset with not good results from my mods.

For a reference on the 60 I im'ed my cousin with a bolt-on integra GSR and 17" street nittos. He is consistant at 1.9 in the 60, and his best was a freak 1.4. you're only 0.05 seconds infront of a HONDA!!!
Oh the shame...
To hell with humidity, the problem's gotta be in that first 60 ft. I'm sure a little work on your launch at the next track tune day will have you smilling a little more, with nothing other than technique.

1.4? i believe that was a fluke, it takes serious tq and bite to lay down a 1.4x short time.
if he wants to ET better, all he has to do is hook. if he is trying to make his car FASTER, he needs more motor or less weight. i am under the assumption that this timeslip is BEFORE the cam, if so...his trap is on par and he only needs traction. if that 108 trap speed is AFTER the cam, he needs to do some troubleshooting, as that is a LOW trap for that cam...assuming a full weight car. basically all he has is longtubes and !emissions crap + tune...not much at all.

It got tuned at HPE. And that is WITH the cam. I'm not sure what the hell is up, it should do way WAY better than what it's doing. The car seems to run fine, doesn't miss, has only thrown the PO751 code for the built tranny, doesn't run hot....I dunno what the **** the deal is.
