Default Highest mileage ls1 youve ever seen?

I just saw a 2000 ta today with 196k on the original motor and transmission. lady is the only owner and says its never had to undergo either a motor or transmission rebuild.

Good lord, that's like 28k miles a year at least. If you were looking to buy it, you're probably looking at a great deal. If it needs a rebuild down the road, that's a good excuse for dropping a 402 in it.

I've seen a 99 SS with over 200k on the stock motor and trans.. The guy took it to a mechanic because it was running like **** and all the mechanic did was take it out and rag the **** out of it for a few hours and now it runs strong! lol I guess it just had a bunch of **** built up in the heads..

The T56 is much stronger than the 4L60E, I'd bet the cars they were talking about were all M6. Notice they didn't mention anything about a rear-end problem . Anywho the LS1 is a great engine, and the T56 is a great tranny. Besides that, the F-bodies aren't anything special. But that's all you really need.

That sounds good. LS1's with lots of miles. I hope to see some serious miles out of my ride. Just clocked in last night with 39000 even. Hope for another 100k+

If you're asking, I don't know. If you're stating that he rebuilt it.....well, I didn't know that either.
