Highest mileage ls1 youve ever seen?
I just saw a 2000 ta today with 196k on the original motor and transmission. lady is the only owner and says its never had to undergo either a motor or transmission rebuild.

I've seen a 99 SS with over 200k on the stock motor and trans.. The guy took it to a mechanic because it was running like **** and all the mechanic did was take it out and rag the **** out of it for a few hours and now it runs strong! lol I guess it just had a bunch of **** built up in the heads..

The T56 is much stronger than the 4L60E, I'd bet the cars they were talking about were all M6. Notice they didn't mention anything about a rear-end problem . Anywho the LS1 is a great engine, and the T56 is a great tranny. Besides that, the F-bodies aren't anything special. But that's all you really need.

no the car i saw in question was a 4spd auto 4l60e. I wouldnt touch the car with a 10ft pole evne if it was dirt cheap. i paid 9300 for my 99 with 83k and am very happy
