Default biggest cam with stageII 5.3 heads..

I just got a new job at a local speed shop here in oc and the owner happened to have a TR224 .563 114 cam in stock and a set of bone stock 5.3 heads...he wants to use my car as a marketing tool to wrangle some local LT1/LS1 business...i know this tried and true set up will yield some decent power but with stageII heads how big of a cam can i run if i ever decide to go bigger...?? I'm shootin for 450+......

um......any suggestions on where i should put it? apparently head/cam swaps aren't advanced enough for the advanced forum? but i looked at the titles of some of the other threads and my question didn't seem to be out of line with what everyone else is posting about.

The LS1/LS6 internal engine forum. Heads/Cam Swaps are not advanced.

I assume stage 2 is 2.02 and 1.57 valves. The guy I bought my old 5.3s from was running a 231/237 cam with them. That's pretty f'ing large. If you work at a speed shop just notch the pistons if you want to go bigger, I'm sure you'll have access to everything you need.

I know it was in the wrong forum, but when the **** did 3 post Jessica become an expert on where things go around here?

Cam only about 375 is average w/ all supporting bolt-ons. Expect a little over 400 on average w/ some decent heads.
