Default getting heads w/ cam....should I?

well all along i really havent planned on doing heads on my car, its a daily driver, but now im just wondering if I should??!! I plan on doing a cam swap out in the next month or so(224/228 .581/.588 LSA 110+0) w/ 918 springs and 7.425 PR, LS6 timing chain. What would be a good budget Heads that would work good with my setup. Would it be worth it with my ride being a daily driver and plan on keeping it for a long time. Just wanting some opinions on this, TIA!!

I hear patriot has some good pkgs. for cheap. I went high dollar and only know what my setup does for sure. If I had it to do over again, I would've got my heads at the same time I did the cam. Do you mind if I suggest you pick a cam with a little more lift and use the 921 dual springs? I have the G5X3, and love it. If that's more cam then you want they have the G5X2 and you can run the 918 single springs I think. JMO, good luck with your picks bro. PM or email me if you like. Love to talk cars.

Get a head with small runners like a Dart 205 or an AFR 205. Don't bother with hogged out LS6 heads. They'll just kill your velocity and throttle response. I know from experience.

I have the TSP-ported LS6 heads with my 224/228. The gigantic runners (quoted at 237cc but looked even bigger) killed my throttle response.

hey man, call up Patriot or LG Motorsports and see what kind of deal they can swing.
If you call LG and ask for Bobby, tell him Doug sent ya and I am sure he will hook you up. Don't give up on heads/cam at the same time, if you do them both you will be blown away at the difference they make over stock. Trust me on this one JLASHLEY I will even call Bobby for ya and set it up. Let me know in an email or just respond to the thread. Bobby @ LG 1-972-429-1963

A cam that size is fine with the 918's I was suggesting a bigger cam and 921's to handle the .600/.608 lift #'s safely. Call LG and let Bobby set you up with a good deal.

I'm sorry to hear that. That being said, I can't wait to get mine ordered I mean, I COULD spend twice as much for small bore 225 AFR's, or get the 205 which, by their charts, seem to start backing up in the lift range I'm running on my intake lobe... you know.. if I wanted to go that route.
