Default Air Lid Installation Problem

This is kind of a stupid question, but hopefully someone can help. I just bought a Direct-Flo lid for my 2000 Z28, but I can't seem to get the air silencers to separate from the MAF. Can anyone offer any help?

Use a flat screw driver to pry between the MAF housing and the plastic.

BTW: Be sure to take the hose clamp off first <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

There has also been some success with heating the silencer with hair dryer to soften it up.

The best way is to use a hair dryer or heat gun like DaddySS said, you don't need to really soften the lid just warm it up some.
