Default Next Mod: Need your Help

Hey guys i am stuck for the next mod on my car(current in the sig.). I don't want to have to get the car tuned the only places around here are like 800.00 so that means i guess no headers or cam/heads. I would like to know the best bang for buck bolt on stuff. I was looking at, pullies, plug wires, plugs. Let me know what expierences you have had. I now have a suncoast hood kit instead of the lid setup, also a set of 15*8 draglites with hoosier quick time pro tires on the rear too, other mods are below. thanks in advance guys.

id say headers and 3.73s in the rear. that'll wake her up
u cant hide from tuning man as a matter of fact, tuning would help your converter out a lot. youd have a hell of a nice street car with headers, gears, and a converter. u could send your pcm to one of the sponsors for a mail order tune if u dont have anyone near u to do it for cheaper than 800 bucks.

Mail order will get you close, any sponsors close by (ROAD TRIP )
Headers will help (gotta let it breath) and don't require a tune (it helps but isn't a requirement)
N2O is always an option, 100 hp at the push of a button
FWIW I'm in the same boat with the tuners, the closest one is 350 miles away, so if I do a cam, it's going to have to be either a mail order tune, or a long drive
Another thing you could get is the HPtuner/EFIlive tuner suite, and learn to tune your own car, lots of knowledge in the tuning section to help get over any rough spots

i hear pcmforless.com goes great work. a tune is only 200-250 dollars and they offer a core charge. you dont even have to send them your PCM, they'll send you one for a fee then refund it when you send yours back.

The LS6 intake and headers would be good routes for you. Neither require tuning and are both something you can tackle yourself. The UD pulley would also be good for your situation too. The headers can be done in a day, and the intake and pulley could be an afternoon job.

The pulley probably won't show you much peak HP, but it helps under the curve quite a bit. The intake would probably net you 12-15 HP up top. Long tubes would net you 15-20 HP as well. I have a Borla catback like you and I really enjoy how the car sounds with LTs/ORY/Borla. I pretty much have the same mods as you plus the ones I listed. I think you would be very pleased with your cars performance with the above listed mods. At any rate, good luck with your mods.

How much are you looking to spend btw?
