Need edelbrock LT's and a few ?
Ok so I've finally decided on my exaust and im going to go with edelbrock lt's and ory. Now my question is can I use the 00-02 version of the fully welded ones for my 98 SS since the egr is gone after with my LS6 intake manifold install. Pretty much just need to know if the AIR system on all 98-02 cars is the same? Also where is the cheapest place to get the fully welded LT's and the ORY? I would like to support a sponsor if possible but am having trouble finding these for sale online.

thats what i want to do but they dont make a fully welded race version Maybe I'll just buy the 00-02 version and block off the AIR Thats if i can find a sponsor that sells them or would possibly let me buy the slip on collector version and weld them on and the O2 bungs in place or me to make a fully welded race style

got then from byunspeed.
edelbrock gives you plates to block off the air and egr fittings on the headers.
i removed teh air and egr systems.
got a plug that fits in teh egr hole in the im and thats it
im throwing 4 codes thoe.
no rear 02's, no air and no egr, but that will be taken care of in the tune

well for some reason the 00-02 version is more expensive so I'll be going with the 98-99 version and ory sometime next week from byunspeed unless another sponsor can beat their price. Thanks for everyones help!

I have the race series long tubes and off road y. If I were to do it over again I wouldnt get the slip in collectors. They are a pain in the *** for the most part. I am going to tack weld them on for now and whenever I get the headers off again I will weld them on. They like to slip off and move around when you are trying to get the y pipe where you want it and you end up fighting 5 different things and angles trying to get it all to line up like it should. The 5 hp I might have gained with the merge collectors wasnt worth my frustration. It seemed to have lost a lot of low end torque also. More than I remember with my other car which had Hooker LT's on it. I am satisfied with the headers, just spent a little more time on my back under the car than I care to.

Also, the y-pipe does come with band clamps or T-bolt clamps whatever you like to call them. But even with them cranked all the way down and the y pipe slipped over the collector with a decent connection they still leak a little. I am going to try and find some butt style clamps that are 2-3" wide and put those on and see if it will tighten down more.

I JUST drove home from the shop that works on my car. They put in the Edelbrock LT's and ORY with slip on collecters and y-pipe, and a TSP Rumbler catback.
1) there is a leak at one of the passenger side slip on fittings I'll have to find.
2) I do feel as though I lost some low end punch.
3) That catback raps like mad at around 2500. I'll probably be looking to weld something in to quiet it down.
4) I think the blockoff for the egr might be leaking a little, but an LS6 intake is going on soon.
