Default IS AN X PIPE JUST STRAIGHT THROUGH PIPE OR DOES IT HAVE BAFFLES INSIDE?

I was wondering if x pipes have baffles inside or are they like off road pipes just straight through?, couldnt i just make my own x pipe instead of spending 180.00+? or are there things inside x pipes that would be impossible to put in? couldnt i just weld four 45 degree bends together and put a plate on each side and weld them up? what would the difference be? it would save me 180.00 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> thanks

An x-pipe is made of regular exhaust tubing. There are no baffles inside of the pipes. You can make your own with the right bends and a little bit of welding skills.
