Could be that you need to get it tuned. Your stat might have gotten stuff in it and stuck half shut. Your fans might not be coming on. could be a number of things. you could have pinched a line.

Bleed your radiator. Mine did that after I swapped my cam. It took while but it worked. Just let the car idle with the radiator cap off and the heater on and you will see all the bubbles come out. My car would see the red and that wasnt good. After that just keep checking it for a couple of days and make sure its full....

As stated above check your fan wiring. Also when you put it all back together how did you go about filling the coolant back up? Did you run the car without the cap and wait until to started to circulate the add more coolant? If you get air in there you could have issues.

sounds like there is air in the coolant system or you di not plug your fan connectors all the way back in.

If the fans are runing all the time and your heating up and the stat is ok then you might have trapped air.

Uncap the radiator (when it's cold) let the car warm up w/ the heat on. Add coolant/water as the air bubbles out.

Just a question here...

If you have a 160 thermostat, why did you program the fans to come on at 160?

Why not set the fans to come on 180 for the low and 188 for the high speed.

Also here is a write up for correctly filling the coolant system, start from #13

I have used the write up over and over and never had a problem.
