Can the water pump pulley be removed?

Can the water pump pulley be removed? I am having a water pump powdercoated and want to have the pulley chromed. How/does the pulley come off? Thanks!

its only removable on '98 water pumps(maybe '97 if they came on a vette? not sure). all the other years are pressed on. if you pulled it off, then you'd need it pressed on again, and i'm not real sure whats involved in that or if its even possible.
