Default heat sheild on motor mount - keep it, or loose it?

i got the motor out and was wondering if it should stay or go? i have FLP's if it matters.

I ditched mine. I felt that it was only to protect the rubber from the large mass of hot cast iron (stock manifolds). I now have SLP's, and they don't ride that close or hold that much heat.
