My PS pump is apparently leaking!! Has anyone else had the problem of their Power steering pump leaking? It is leaking pretty bad i just cant really see where it is coming from though. I would like to know if i should just buy a new one or can it be repared?

Re: My PS pump is apparently leaking!! Tim, you really need to know wheather it's the pump or hose/hoses that's causing your problem before you go out and buy a new pump. Good luck with the fix.

Re: My PS pump is apparently leaking!! If it is your power steering pump I would replace it. If you try and fix it you dont know whether or not it will stay that way. My old Camaro had that problem and it occured while I was driving and the car started to pour out white smoke at first. By the time I got close to home the smoke had turned black and it started to spray power steering fluid all under the hood. When I pulled over and lifted the hood the plug wires had already went up in fire. If it were me I would just replace the pump if that is the problem.
