What heads should i run with supercharger
I have a 2000 ls1 with a fm7 i have a vortech supercharger i am getting ready to put on and going to run 6 to 8 psi with meth.
I have recently learned my friend who has a 99 camaro with a fm13 or 14 not sure GTP stage 2 heads and headers and ls6 intake and other bolt ons is going to maybe sell off some of his parts. The car made around 430 to the rear wheels.
I can get these GTPs for about 1200 and i know they are worth it or should i take that moeny and buy set of ls6 heads or 6 liter heads and port them to drop the compresstion and run more boost
What combo will make more power?
I heard boost is pretty hard on the ls1s but if you chnge the head gaskets and heads bolts to arps your better off but still hard on the rings I dont know what is the better way to go.
what to keep it pretty street drivable when i get a thicker head gasket with the gtps it will be about stock compresstion
what would you guys do?
what do you guys have?
what is the better bang for the buck?
what is going to be the safer set up as far as the life of the bottom end?
thank you for looking sorry this is long but i need to pull the trigger on this pretty soon
