Default A couple of issues

First, from what I have been reading it sounds like I have a busted tranny mount due to my symptoms. This happens maybe every other time I start up and go in reverse.... there is a shake and a semi-loud groaning noise coming from around the area of the trans. Also, when slowing down and then speeding up in traffic there is a little clunk and I can feel the transmission (or what I believe is the transmission) moving. It almost feels like their is some slop in the drivetrain. Or maybe I have a busted TA mount? Any other ideas? If it is the transmission mount, what mount do you suggest me replacing it with? I have heard some issues with some mounts causing the car to shake more at idle since it is much stiffer.

Second, I have the top end "tapping" noise. I know its not piston slap, it is a completely different sound. I am going to take a guess and say I have an exhuast leak. It is present from off idle to ~2500 rpms at part throttle then it goes away. I haven't heard it until I got my AIR/EGR blocked off, could this be the reason? I don't think its a lifter because I thought it is suppose to get louder as the rpms increase. Is the same true for a bent pushrod? Any other ideas?

if it is your trans mount, anything poly eurathane is better. as far as the tapping, if it didnt start until after you installed the block off plate, i would look at the gasket for it, and make sure its tight.
