Question Computer Not Telling Converter To Lock, Anyone Tell Me Why?

I have a '99 Trans Am with a 3800 Yank SS converter. It was locking up good until last week when I had an LS6 intake and ported tb put on and retuned. For some reason, now the converter won't lock up on it's own, but will when it is turned on with a Tech 2. I'm not getting any SES codes and the car runs fine at WOT and cruising around, just no lockup. We looked through the program and didn't see anything that should have caused a problem, anyone had this happen or have any ideas?

Your PCM is detecting misfires either false due to your heads/cam or true due to problems causing the misfires. In the PCM tables you can lower the misfire sensitivity to correct the problem.

My tuner had changed the values in the tables tremendously, not saying it couldn't be seeing misfires, but I think it's unlikely. Is there any other factors other than TPS, speed values, and misfire count that affects lockup?

Scan it when it's doing the bad thing and see what the
TCC Mode is. Locked and "should be, but held off for
misfires" are two different things. In HPTuners it comes
out like a -3- vs "Locked" when misfires are bugging it.
Dunno what other scan tools would show.

We have checked the brake switch and sensors, the values in the misfire tables have been bumped up were they shouldn't interfere, but we're going to do some logging tomorrow morning and see what's going on. The other day we were using LS1 Edit, my program was pulled with HP Tuners berfore (I think), so we're going to try putting the old program back in it to see if that helps.

Thanks for the help, going to go over it tomorrow, hopefully it will start working right. I'm concerned about driving it any, I don't want to damage the transmission by getting it hot.
