Default Cleaning Throttle Body?

Hey just the other day I pulled off my air box and all that to inspect my throttle body and I noticed it was pretty dirty. Is it alright if I take it off and spray carburator cleaner on it to cut the grime. Just wondering, I didnt know if there was any sensors or anything in it that could get cleaner on and ruin. Please let me know. Thanks for yalls help

Yes it's fine...spray the crap out of it. Also take the IAC valve out and spray it...to be on the safe side you can take the TPS off and set it aside.

They make TB cleaner that is less likely to damage any electronics and it works just as good. Valvoline makes one that has a long nozzle that pivets all around and makes it easy to spray where you want it.
