Default KOOKS headers for LS1???? Yep I've got a set.....

Actually I've seen a set of 1 7/8 step to 2 inch and the set I have are strait 1 7/8. Sorry no pictures for now because they are on the way to Jet-Hot. I will say that the workmanship is the best I've seen for the LS1. The best work is done inside the collector.... Guys these are some more trick pieces. The step headers that I referred to are being preped for slip on merge collectors and a dyno session on a nitrous motor being assembled in Houston.

Pics coming soon. Your gonna like what you see.!!!

Now Joe, No fair teasing the people, besides you and I BOTH know that the set getting the collectors is not necessarily slated for that N2O motor... it may be headed for that OTHER motor depending on the arrival date of some other parts :-p If you're gonna tease em atleast be accurate <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Now Joe you know good and well you down't have a set in your possession. When you left the other nite, remember I had them in my hands. NOW who has them????
BTW, they are still sittin' on the welding table. Get Matt to pick them up today/tonite when he comes by the shop.

I will say that these are some bad *** looking headers though.

Yes they have the spike cone. I have the 1 7/8" stepped to 2" version. The best header work I have every seen. VERY nice workmanship and the numbers they put out were even better. Check my thread in the drag racing section.

We've been selling and using Kooks at my speed shop for yrs..I just never got around to looking at their LS1 program and when I finally did it was too late as I bought hookers.

I like my hookers, good header for the $ as long as u make your own Y-pipe.But for the big motors,N20,stout 346 SR motors or boosted cars I would go Kooks....

The Kooks headers are really nice. My friend's car was used so that they could mock up a Y-Pipe with cats for the LS1. Sounds amazing at WOT and at idle.

You should post some dyno numbers when they are available. That way we can see how they stack up.

Actually the slip-on collectors are going on a race only car. I welded flanges on mine to make it easier changing from y-pipe to bullets to collector extensions etc.....
