Default breather filter for 01+ lid

installed my lid yesterday, they forgot to send me my breather filter though. i know its prob not that big of a deal but is there no problem with driving around for a few days with nothing covering the air tube at all? i have it tucked up in a way that nothing could really get to it, but i just want to be sure...
thanks! and sorry for the "newbie" post <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I drove mine for 2 weeks until the filter arrived. I wouldn't be concerned unless you are driving through a dust storm and even then that tube doesn't connect to the internl engine.

98-99 cars have the same pump without the long tube & filter. You can run without it.. but I put a filter on my car.

I picked my filter up in the import section of the local PepBoys <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
