Wow awsome shop. I tried to make it up to mid ohio to meet the whole katech group but I had family issues so I couldnt make it. I would like to come up some time and take a tour of the facility. This level of work is my dream job, I would love to do this for a profession.

Where did you go to school/not go to school to get into a job like this? What is a required level of certificate/degree? Any schools you recommend/look for students from?

I personally don't have an engineering degree. I went to a local school. The engineers here at Katech come from:
California Polytechnic
University of Central Florida
Western Washington University
Montana State University
Kettering University

Additionally take a look at
Wyotech
S.A.M.

I am applying to enter SAM in either January or February. I was going to school for MechE, but realized that SAM offers precisely what I want without the added toil an engineering degree takes, not to mention- youre straight ready to get into building out of SAM, from another Engineering school, you have to learn the trade after a 4 year degree.
