Default Magnaflow Questions

Does anyone have a magnaflow sound clip from an LS1 they can let me hear? If not can anyone tell me what magnaflow sounds like compared to say borla or flowmaster? I'm lookin to get a cat-back and all i've heard is loudmouth and borla. I want something different but i have no ides what the hell magnaflow sounds like.

Magnaflow is very queit, but it still sounds good. It is queiter than Flowmaster, and much queiter than Borla. I had it on my old '99 Z28.

So would you say its worth the money to even get it since you don't gain much sound?

Magnaflow flows excellent, you can look straight through the muffler. There will certainly be a power gain with it. However, if you are the type that likes loud exhaust (like me ), than this system probably isn't for you. It's louder than stock of course, but it's not what I would call noticably loud or anything, just a nice mellow deep sound. Hope that helps

A buddy of mine has a 96 WS6 with the borla non-adjustable cat-back. Would the magnaflow be louder or quieter than his? I want my car loud but not loud if you know what i mean.

i have SLP's, offroad pipe, and the magnaflow muffler. I got it because I was hoping it would make the tone a little deeper, but its still raspy like it was before. At WOT it does flow well because of its design.. I have a few pics of the muffler on my site in the pictorial section so check that out..

i'd reccomend it over a flowmazzer though

but my cutout open half the way sounds alot better.. espically with the cam
