well i just got my car back today, its a 99, and i had some bearings spin in the old motor, the new motor i got is a 01....i know about the heads,chain,manifold..etc....but when i opened the cutout today it sounds alot meaner then the 99....would just those parts do that or what?...and it drives like a dream to...clean as hell, and i didnt pay a dime

Combination of a smaller cam and better heads may make a difference in sound. But my question, how did you get a motor replaced under warrenty on a 99?

bought it about a year ago and got a extended warranty for 2 years....warranty company cried and tried not to give me a motor...trying to find any reasons....seeing how i paid 2k for the warranty and they had to pay over 6k for the new motor...needless to say they sent me a crappy 99 rebuilt..which my mechanic friend said was total garbage, he sent it back and they sent me a 01ls1....
