Default 02 Z06 or SLP 85mm? which better?

im sure its a toss up??? I just want a calibrated MAF other than the ported ends. Im sure its probably worthless on a stock internal car, maybe 4-5hp if that. But im hoping it will help my cam a little more. And besides i'd rather have a calibrated MAF over those ported ends Ive had on the car

I would say go with the SLP. They probably have better access to calibrate the MAF than others like Pace. I have been running a screenless SLP unit for about 5K miles with no problems. I think I got a solid 5 RWHP on my stock internal M6 (based on the fact that I gained 25 RWHP adding catted FLP LT's and the MAF).

You may already be aware of this but if you just buy a factory Z06 MAF it will not be calibrated correctly for an LS1, and with stock programming you will run very rich. Pace however sells recalibrated 85mm screened and screenless sensors which should work well for you. I use one myself.

yeah I know a stock Z06 MAF needs to be calibrated.... but the ones on LS1speeds site are calibrated for the LS1

It's a toss up, and ill probably just go with the ZO6 MAF calibrated

I think i read in a magazine that the SLP gets their MAFS from GM. I believe it is the unit off one of the truck engines and SLP recalibrates it to ls1 or puts a different connector on it or something, I can't remember.

I don't know if you want to spend the extra bucks but the Granatelli MAF is a good product. It is fully calibrated.. They claim 10 - 23 hp increase. I just installed one recently and you can tell a difference. I am happy with their product.
SLP goes for like $149.00 compared to Granatelli at $279.00... Big price difference.

i have the slp 85mm maf. i noticed a very slight difference. if i was to do it again i would just stick with my stock descreened, and spend the money elsewhere.
