Street Racing & Kill Stories - '90 Grand Prix VS tC... Camaro VS tC

These are the last races I had with my tC. I was at home for my Grandfather's funeral back in late February. So I wasn't up to par with what was going on at home to begin with. The only Camaro's that are in my home town are all stock or completely original '69's and don't really race anyone but each other. Bless their hearts for my sake. There is only one built Camaro in my town though, and he challenges everyone, literally. On to the story.
==================================

Looking at my g/f in her '90 Pontiac A/T Grand Prix, I start my tC in the storage space. I put the lever in 1st and slowly pull out, about eight inches of space on each side of the car give me no room for error. I think to myself this is the first time my FlintMica baby has been out with me in about six months, and the first time she's been out to just be driven with the current mod's set-up; I should take it easy for starters.

As we head to her house; me in front, I notice she's pulling up on me real quick on the freeway. I'm in 5th going about 55, yea, taking it real easy. She moves over and pulls up next to me and breaks to get up even with me. I figure she's only running stock V6 in an A/T. I can take her in 4th. She punches it as soon as I hit the clutch and I notice I underestimate the pull of her car. I dump it in 3rd and stop her pull immediately, I get next to her and drop in 4th at about 70 as I wave at her. Still taking it easy for the most part. She get's back behind me as we come up to a stop light coming into the very outskirts of town.

That's when I hear it. I could feel it even, churning my stomach because I knew I was going to get what was coming to me. Hopefully this beast surely would think I wasn't worth the time.

The rumble of eight massive cylinders and a wine I could never forget pulls up even with me at the light. My fears are confirmed once I look over at a jet black Camaro, black Koenig racing rim's, DR's at the back and skinnies up front. A true modern marvel of our time, Fear spelt in eight cylinders. I've seen this thing before. Chuck Norris, eat your heart out.

One massive roar sends my stomach into my throat, I don't back down from a challenge, but I knew it wasn't going to end pretty. I don't even think it would start for me anyway's. I looked at the tinted window where the driver should be with a questioning look. Two more quick jet engine like roar's confirmed my larger fear's of this monster on wheel's.

I've definitely seen this car before. The wine of two massive Turbo's and a built 572 V8 powered this monster. I would have sworn my car was shivering from fear if it wasn't for the adrenaline rushing through my veins. I nodded and prepared myself for green.

I look at the cross street light, yellow, 3500 rpms for launch. The moment it hit red I pound the gas, it was over; he started from dead idle. In a flash of black madness and deafening furry, he had to have been in town by the time I even got off the line. The only clear shot of his car was that of it reared up like a black stallion. The rear bumper draging on the pavement and the nose pointing skyward. I felt almost honored that he even thought I was worth it. Thank you Dave, thank you and your monster of a car. Released the beast.

I know this guy, but I didn't know his car was out of the shop yet. He melted three of his pistons the last time I was home in September in a burn-out competition at the track. He's got a Chevy 572 motor, complete forged internals w/full bolt on's and a custom built set-up for Twin GForce T56's. One running like a standard set-up and the other underneath the car near the rear, the air filter inside the rear bumper. I love that thing. But I would NEVER want to get caught next to it ever again. It's simply amazing. :eek2:

And yes, my g/f still laugh's at me for even trying against the kind of muscle a Camaro brings. I don't blame her though. It's cause I'm :whip: ...

Overall, this was a complete and utter raping. :punch: :dark: :laser: :buttkick: :chuck-bal :twak: :nutkick: I just can't get enough of it though. Hope you enjoyed the read.
