Default factory Ypipe

just put on magnaflow cat backs on my 02 Z.
Would a new ypipe help out very much still has factory pipe on

It kind of depends on what you plan to do down the road. If you think you will go with headers down the road, just skip the ypipe for now. The new ypipe won't help out that much anyway, and if you do go with headers you'll get a new one with your headers.

Spend the money elsewhere.

it might be worth 200 for a Y but NOT from SLP <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

if you want a "fast car", headers pay off alot, even more with h/c or a blower.

idle it sounds good low rumble at cruz 1500 rpm.
when you stomp it you know its there.
ez in stall took about half hour.had to sawall factory cat back. for $350 you cant bet it.

I have the slp y and it sucks. It still has the 2.75" restrictive collector and the drivers side pipe hangs really low. I have a stock height camaro and it sometimes scraps on big speed bumps. What I really dont like about it is how you can see how low the drivers side pipe hangs from the side of the car. People can tell you modded the exhaust.

As far as performance improvement, I couldnt tell a difference. I think you would be better off buying some off road pipes and keeping the stock ypipe. Maybe enlarge the collector on the stock y to a 3 inches.
