I am doing a v6 to v8 swap in a 95 m5 camaro, would a t-10 4 speed trans work and still come out in the same hole in the floor as it does now w/ my 5spd.? or what if I ran a 5spd out of a 91 v8 camaro would it work? i dont really have the money for a t-56.

You would have best luck with a V8 T5 model. This will get the shifter in a better spot and be on the cheap relative to a T56. You are always gonna wish ya did the T56 , though.
