I was just wondering in which tow wires i need to tap into to know the voltage? <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

On my Y2K, I believe it was the blue and black wires on the TPS. Whichever two will yield a + change in voltage while moving the throttle open, anyway,with the switch on (engine off).

In my opinion you shouldn't grind the
bump stop for voltage, you should
grind for blade angle. The blade
should not quite go over center.
If you're good at eyeballing things,
just make it so the blade edge is
somewhere "inside" the shaft when
it's cracked open fully, this is best
for airflow. I stopped when the blade
edge just cleared the shaft, visually,
when looking square down the throat.
You could also use a ruler across the
opening if you don't trust your eye.
Just a hair short of dead open (anything
more is no benefit, and some risk).

If you get too high a TPS voltage after
getting it mechanically perfect, then you
should adjust the TPS position. Don't
compromise mechanical flow for electrical
reasons. Besides, if you get the blade
angle right, normal TBs won't go "over
the top" on TPS voltage.

Check the cable action afterward... you
can be leaving more on the table here,
than from the bump stop. My car wouldn't
even hit the bump stop, as its factory
adjustment and cables were. Had to cobble
to get full throttle.

Just use the blue one. Its the one off center. Ground the neg side of the meter. I would stop at 4.6v anything over 4.7=SES light.Mine was 4.3v stock.
