How high are you guys spining your motor with cam?
I'm shifting at about 6300 but think I need to go higher?

6300 is peak, to benefit from a wider max hp range you need at least another 300 rpm

I daily drive mine 80+ a day, through traffic, and i car pool with an old lady. Its nothing like stock drivability, but its not like driving a straight up pro stock race car either...

can you discribe what you mean by nothing like stock drivability. Driving 80 miles a day leads me to believe its not too uncomfortable to drive in but something is missing?

Im fairly young at 25, and every waking moment is spent thinking about horsepower, so im willing to sacrafice drivability a little bit, but since i dont have alternate means of transportation, this one car must handle many tasks. It has to get me to work 3 days a week (the other two days the lady i carpool with drives), it has to be drivable enough that i can pickup friends and family and drive out to dinner without it being too embarassing. As it is, the bucking at low rpms is quite annoying and embarassing, however you can sort of learn to drive around it. Thats my main concern is the bucking, other than that the car is great. Bringing the compression back up has boosted the low end torque. Add enough timing at idle and right off idle and you can let the clutch out at 1000 rpm easily. However coasting and driving through traffic or at low speeds in a parking lot still prove troublesome. I find that I have to keep telling myself its a race car, drive it assertively, otherwise itll just sound like the car's broken. If youve driven old 60s or 70s muscle, youll have no problem, but if you want your car to be as refined as an audi or acura, it aint gonna happen.

Rod Bolts? Not I. 2001+ cars got the stronger rod bolts from the factory, so im confident in them spinning to 6600-6800.

I DD mine and love it. I agree with GuitsBoy's description 100%. I have a QTP cutout and stock catback, as soon as I leave my apt. complex I open 'em up. Coming home, close 'em up.
