Default Is drivetrain loss linear?

I'm just curious if drivetrain loss is linear the whole way down the line. I mean does a 900hp car lose the same percentage as a 400hp car? I would think it would take X number of hp to turn the drivetrain no matter how much power the car makes.

it would make sense that way, but only if all the variables are exactly the same. like the crank wieghs the same, complete drivetrain is the same (all reciprocating masses are the same.) if the loads are different, it will eat power at a different rate. at least thats what the voice in the corner of my mind told me.
