No vacuum at idle, surging

No vacuum at idle, surging Im trying to hunt down what I think is a vacuum leak, but a pretty severe one.. I get maybe 1" of vacuum at idle and thats it. I've sprayed all around the intake and throttle body and couldnt notice any change in rpm.
This engine fried a valve and recently recieved new Patriot 74cc LQ9 heads, which bumped the compression from 9.4:1 down to about 8.5:1. The #7 cylinder detonated, frying the exhaust valve, and spark plug. Is it possible that a broken middle rignland may contribute to a no vacuum problem?
