Need a quick, educated response please. My SES light came on tonight on the way back from school. I am 99.9% sure that it's my right cat judging by the rather large dent in it and the horrid smell it gives off <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I have to drive about 100 mile tomorrow to go to school and get back to my parents house where I have a pair of random tech high flow cats ready to install. Is this going to cause any damage to anything?

Re: Need a quick, educated response please. Well, this might not be the most educated guess in the world, but unhook your battery and let the computer lose its memory. Re: Need a quick, educated response please. If the cat's brick is broken or melted it will just for the most part hurt your gas mileage and performance but not do any damage to your engine.

I'm running the loudmouth right now but this weekend I'm installing the random tech high flow cats, an SLP y-pipe, and the hooker catback so the problem should be solved. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

It's busted up pieces and particles can blow into the rest of your exhaust system and get lodged in your muffler. If you have something like a Loudmouth (hollow muffler) I wouldn't worry about it, but it could be a problem if you have a more "traditional" cross-over type of system like the stock one, Hooker, Corsa, etc...
