Default CAM suggestions would be appreciated

I am shopping around for a new cam, but the choices are so plentiful its starting to get somewhat overwhelming. I don't want anything to aggresive (for now). I plan on using just my stock heads, LT headers, LS6 Intake, and this is going to be my daily driver, so I don't need anything radical. I hope to make around 360-380 rwhp with just the cam and bolt-ons (headers, exhaust, cai, TB, Underdrive Pully, etc. and I realize that 380 maybe pushing it but 370 would be ideal) If anyone is running a similair setup, knows someone that does, or just has a few suggestions I would appreciate any input or recomendations. Thanks

Sounds like a good suggestion. Have you looked at ls1sounds.com? They should have a lot of sound clips of that cam.

I live in Oklahoma and we don't have vehicle inspections, so noise and other anoying violations aren't realy a factor to me, but of course the meaner the sound the better

228r would be a good DD cam choice. So would the TRak or Torquer 2 but the latter 2 will be more aggressive.

228R is what I have waiting to be installed. I wanted something a little bigger than a 224.

look into a custom grind 224/228 .581/.588 with an LSA of 110+0 advance very torquey and great for stock heads and daily drivers who want low to mid-range power.

Go to www.Texas-speed.com and www.ThunderRacing.com
Look around at their cams, they will all have some in the 22x range all the way up to the 24x range.
