Default illinois speeding ticket

Anyone know what the penalty is for doing 39 over the posted speed limit in Du Page County Illinois? I got a speeding ticket this past weekend for doing 94 in a 55. I got another ticket about month ago for doing 70 in a 55. Other than that my record is clean. I know im a dumbass and this is the last of my speeding on the street. Can anyone guess at what im up against here.

what did you get for your first ticket?

If i'm not mistaken over 30 over is a mandatory court appearance

the last ticket I got for doing 70 in a 55 cost me $95. I got court suprvision but I violated the three month probation when I got this last ticket. And yes it is a mandatory court appearence for this last ticket. I also recieved an expired insurance citation becasue I hadn't put my new proof of insurance card in the car yet. So the cop put down $2000 bond which included both tickets, but the insurance citation will be lifted when I show proof of insurance in court. I was wondering if any one had been in a familiar situation and what they had received in fines/penalties.

i wish i was in your shoes. got busted driving on revoked for the 2nd time. its been about a year and a half since the last one, but my lawyer says he can get me off if i pay like $1,500 in fines and court costs. im taking that whith a smile on my face. so if you get some good representation, theres most likely something that can be done. trust me my record aint clean at all and im only 21 got revoked(im mixed and was living in a small town get the hint.)when i was 19. good luck.

Was racing an 04 vette.......... clean record the cop didnt get me with the gun he says i was doing over 100...... which he was right i was in the 120's but it was still BS considering it was just me and the vette on the road at like 4 am. And this pig hiding in the bushes lol $800 later and 24 hours in the pen and its like it never happened.

no idea but you'll be getting a letter from the state informing you if you get another moving voilation this year your license will be suspended.
It's been a long time since that happened to me, back in the late 80's, but I do remember driving like a grandma for a long time.
You can probably find what you're looking for here:

good luck

Might want to get a lawyer, at least look into it. I'm sure you are racking up points.

Definately get a lawyer & let them deal w/it.
That way they can likely keep the supervision from the first ticket clear. Then get this big one squashed & keep both of them off your record.
Thats what I would worry about, like said above get a good lawyer.

Speed has nothing to do with a felony, even doubling the speed limit wouldn't do it. Wreckless endangerment is a felony, evading arrest, and other moving violations could be considered a felony. All this is included in endangering other personel, not by solely speeding.

I got busted doubling the speed limit once and was let off, and a "75" ina 35 supposedly, dont see how that worked out. Traffic school and i was done. Mandatory court appearance and my g/f's mother for my attorney.

Now the Illinois Tickets all show 30+ over the speedlimit on there, no where do they say anything higher than that. Lots of variables to be had with what a cop can/will say or do with you but for sure it is not a felony. He brakes supervision, as long as hes not under i forget if its 18/21 if you get 2 tickets in 6 months your suspended, so thats depends on age. Now failing to abide by the rules of your Supervision, youll probably be paying double. Traffic school although it costs, is by far the better choice, however you can't return within 6 months. get an attorney as this is a court appearance, and ask them what to do if they have any ideas.

Similar thing happened to me. I was issued a ticket while on probation for TWO others, that I had just gotten a month and 1/2 before. 3 in the same year would have killed me at 19. I needed my probation from the first infractions to last 3 months. SO.... I skipped my first court date. They issued another date, but it was before my 3 month was up. I had my brother show up in my place to ask for an extension with a BS story that I couldn't get out of work or be fired. The judge told him to tell me if I didn't show up next time, it would mean a warrant for my arrest. I was issued a 3rd date, which was finally after the 3 month probation ended. Had it not been I would have skipped it, turned myself in after, paid my 100 bucks bail, gotten another date, and waited for the 100 bucks back in the mail but that wasn't neccessary. I had to eat the 3rd ticket, but since I didn't technically break my probation (I wasn't CONVICTED within the 3 month probationary period), the other 2 still got wiped.

My friend just got a ticket for 91 in a 40. He was racing a Probe in his Buick LeSabre lol. He just went to court a few days ago with a lawyer. He got 8 hour traffic school, 1 year supervision, and 48 hours community service. Idk what kinda newb his lawyer had, he didnt pay much for him but I think he should have got a much less sentence. It was his first ticket.
