Default Black exhaust tips?

My car is black, my interior is black, and soon(hopefully) my wheels will be black. After blacking out everything else that I could on my car, I'm sure putting chrome tips on would look pretty . I painted the stock tips black and it looks good, but I wanted some aftermarket tips. Anyone seen black ones? I'm looking, ideally, for something like twin slash cut tips or just about anything that is wider than it is tall, so it will look good in the TA rear fascia.

Chrome tail pipes do not look gay on a black car. period! A little contrast is not a sin!

2.5" "black chrome" slash tips I found at
Disco(unt) Auto Parts. Not black, black,
but more of a black metallic look.

Been thinking of pulling off the CME tips,
myself, just 'cuz I'm getting tired of
polishing the aluminum all the time. Pair
of 45-deg turndowns would be nigh invisible.

Black exhaust tips mean never having to say
"they're dirty".

Im not saying that the blacked out tips would look bad (cause I wouldnt mind seeing them. But find a set of corsa tips, they look bad ***. Then if you want paint the inside black if you not satified. That with polished wheels tips would look pretty good.

With the black wheels, I just don't think it would look right.

You're absolutely right, polishing the tips gets really old, especially here in FL where its rainy then the road gets all muddy (as do the tips). Thanks for your help.

You may want to check into powdercoating. They can do almost any color. Black would be very easy, but you might be able to get a very drak gray or something else that suits your taste. Shouldn't cost more than about $50 or so.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already looked into that. Every powdercoating guy that I talked to wouldn't touch chrome (they said you couldn't powdercoat it) and every tip that I find is chrome.

Stock Z28 tips are black rectangular

Megs and so forth are just stainless, not chrome, at least I don't think so. The ones I got at fasttoys.net are also stainless.

Any respectable powder coating operation has access to a bead blaster. Just rough them up a little and it'll stick just fine. I have one of the eastwood powder coating kits and it is the heat. I'm going to do my SLP dual stainless tips myself. Good luck!
