Default SLP maf?

I just installed an 85mm SLP maf and I am getting a 1400hz error, what to do to fix this? I have read about taking the resistor out, but what is the proper procedure to fix this? Just cut it out, and what maf table should I run?

Thanx,

Paul

1400Hz error?

I'd check the adaptor harness first, in my experience
the truck MAFs read about 2500Hz in still air and the
SLP unit should only be off a few hundred from that.
Should see 12V, ground and a low nonzero voltage
(0-5V with a very narrow duty cycle at idle) on the
three wires in the 5-pin MAF connector harness. If you
can read frequency with your DMM then look at that,
straight.

Opps...i meant to say 14000Hz. I know it only goes up to 12000Hz...sort of confused. Thanks for the info so far!

Any mods? Blower, turbo, dry shot?

Don't know why you would be seing 14,000hz on a h/c car....has to be a hardware issue. Once you get it working, dial in the bottom half of the MAF table with the fuel trims to get an idea where the top half should be. Then, dial in the top half with a wideband. That link I gave you makes it easy to see your changes relative to the stock table or any other MAF table for that matter...
