Default Volant intake system?

Has anyone used the Volant air box intake system on an SS? Does it seal up to the factory hood? What kind of power gains has anyone had compared to an Hi flow lid and K&N?

I've heard good and bad things about those, most people tend to stick to the regular lid/filter setup...

I would even do a fast toys ram air...

Nice performance increase and great sound, but the air filter keeps falling off the air tube, had to run 2 screws into the filter base, now it is cracking, kinda pissed, would not buy again.

You got a little money to blow, go with the K/N FIPK! You won't be dissapointed!

FIPK isn't that great. FIPK sucks hot air.

I have had a Volant for 2 years. More power than a lid and much better looks.

Two years i have had no cracks, filters have been cleaned and been removed and replaced with no problems at all. The only thing i don't like is...oh wait. Actually nothing! The only intake that would replace my Volant ever is the new TEXAS lid that has the smoother rounded corners...
