Will this cam work with FI - 224/224 .535/.535 114? Last fall, a friend of mine won a H/C package as a raffle prize at a race. It is a stage one 2.02/1.57 heads and a custom grind Comp Cam. He was looking for some cash, so he sold it to me really cheap (it was from one of the board sponsors, too, and it is good stuff). Unfortunately, the cam they sent me was only .535 lift - it was supposed to be .561/.580.
The problem is, I am supposed to go into the shop in a couple of weeks for H/C/Clutch and headers, and even if they swap it out (haven't got a hold of them yet), I probably won't get it in time for the install. Thunder has their blower cam in stock right now, and I was thinking of just grabbing that and getting whatever I could for the comp cam.
If I do install the comp cam, what would be the downside of this cam with my combo? Should I just forget it and get the big dog from Thunder? Any advice would be appreciated.
