Default Dynomax UltraFlo quiet?

I just replaced the Flowmaster in my Flowmaster cat-back with an UltraFlo 17536. The sound is kinda off, but I don't expect much from a crossflow muffler. I guess I thought it might have been louder since you can see straight through the UltraFlow. How does this muffler sound with high flow cats or ORY+headers?

I INSTALLED SLP LONG TUBES WITH AN ORY AND LEFT THE STOCK CAT BACK IN. THE SOUND TOTALY CHANGED WITH THE HEADERS AND ORY. MUCH BETTER MUSCLE CAR SOUND AT IDLE AND WHEN YOU OPEN UP THE THROTTLE THE CAR SCREAMS. I WILL SOON BE INSTALING A CUSTOM CAT BACK BUT YOU WILL LOVE THE SOUND AND PERFORMANCE INCREASE YOU WILL GET FROM THE HEADERS AND ORY.

I have the same muffler on my 2000 trans am and I love it because it doesn't sound like everyone elses car.I just installed my Jet-Hot headers with the coated Hooker ORP and it amazing how quiet it still is.The only time its really any louder is when you romp on the throttle. It is really nice at cruising speeds and there is no drone!I thought since I don't have any cats inline it would be really loud but its not???If you look through this thing it doesn't look like it would kill any noise because it is straight thru?I had an ATR stainless cross-flow muffler in there before and it was a raspy piece of **** and it fell apart at the welds. It is much quieter than my flowmaster on my other car with punched out cats and stock manifolds.I also bought a Dynomax race bullet to use as a resonator behind the ORP but I don't think I really need it.My car sounds more like a muscle car now but its not loud The bottom line is DO IT!!!

I was actually able to drive it around 50+ miles this weekend (then it snowed again, breaking out the 4x4) and even the GF noticed that the car didn't drone as much. I know I just moved my restriction up further in the exhaust.
