You are asking yes or no to what exactly? How many miles are on it?

alot. its behind your water pump on the front of the block. You have to take the water pump, air pump and such to get to it. It'll take you a while. Labor to get it done would probably be outragoues. Is it your dailey driver? I suggest getting a rpelacement and doing it yourself.

Yah it is kind of a sucky job to have to replace but it isnt the worse thing to do. Take your time and it all comes off pretty easy and you can replace it quite easily. Heck when I replaced my opti i also did plugs and wires at the time since i had the whole front of my motor off it made routing the wires and getting to some of the plus a little bit easier then it would have been with all that crap on there. I don't know when the last time plugs and wires were done but they aren't too expensive and can save you more hassle later on jsut doing them now

I had the same symptoms, so if you can wait until Thursday evening when I get my car back, I'll tell you if it was the opti in my case. I got the opti for $235 off of Shoebox's website, shbox.com (go under who to get parts from - Jason Cromer) but make sure you specify if you have a vented optispark or not. The labor to install my opti was $210 (70/hour) from a fantastic garage near me. I'll let you know how it goes thursday evening!

Just go the car back, and the new opti fixed all of my problems it was having. Revs perfectly and highly now!
