lol.....the question is not what CAN you do but what CANT you do.....

You started right....get the air in and out as efficiently as possibly. Keeping with that you could do long tube headers. I have the Hooker LTs and am really happy with them.

While this is the external engine forum, if you have the money, install a cam and new heads when you do headers. You have to remove the headers to install the heads and installing the cam is easier to do with the heads off. They go hand and hand.

Have you done any suspension or chassis mods (LCAs, subframes, lowering springs, panhard rod, etc....)? Power is good but it won’t do you any good if you can’t plant it or if the car handles like a Mac truck.

i would agree with 2001camaroguy, pretty much
If i was in your shoes, i would start collecting parts and take a week off of work to put them all on and your car tuned properly. The parts i would get would be:
LS1 edit - get this first!, if you dont have a laptop save $200 to buy a cheapie from ebay
headers/block off plates
heads
cam and valvetrain components
bigger MAF
bigger or ported TB

then get your basic suspension mods, and drivetrain mods to back those power modifications up and keep your car from falling apart at the strip and slowing the lanes down

You have ALOT of stuff you can buy, just take a pick from these, check out the sponsors, or dig thru Ebay.

good luck

ported TB or a QTEC cutout.

Both can be bought by our sponsors on the right.
Bauer racing for the TB
Quick Time Performance for the cutout

Both cheap and help

I'd have to agree biggest is edit and a logger - atap or efilive - I descreened my maf and the result was badddd! real bad pinging - had to increase the Maf flow with edit. I'm guessing that you are prolly pinging pretty good now too - which will revert the pcm to the low octain table losing timing and still pinging.

The other mods are good but - tuning first. jmho
