Default Stripped wheel stud....

I have a stripped/cross threaded wheel stud on my rear, 1 of the studs won't let a lug nut tighten on it at all. It started rounding off the insides of my Weld Racing lug nuts, and is really pissing me off. I hear you can't remove the wheel studs in the rear without removing the axles. Is that true? Or since I'll be replacing it with a stock sized stud, can it just pop out?

I did the same thing. You don't have to remove the axles. You do have to remove the caliper and take the rotor off, but after that, you can get it done.
