Default A/C Clutch Question

Can I replace the A/C compressor clutch without pulling the whole compressor off and evacuating and refilling the A/C system? The clutch is about half of what the compressor with clutch costs, and i'm on a tight budget. Thanks

Robby

yeah it can be done, but be advised you need a special tool, and most of the time the shaft the clutch is mounted on ends up breaking off anyways.

Last time I checked, new AC compressor was around $400 from parts vendor (such as Dal). AC clutch I dont even think was $100
