going to run a in-tank pump
is there any reason the fuel-pressure regulator can't be placed next to the tank, or does it need to be near the engine for some reason?

Mine is right next to my tank, return line is about 15 inches long.

If you use the corvette filter w/ the built in requlator they are usually close to the tank from the factory. I assume you could run any regulator like this.

Mine is the Corvette part, right next to the tank also. I don't see why you couldn't run any other regulator the same....as long as it's a bypass type.

If your fuel feed line is small and requires the higher pressure to keep up with demand the regulator should be closer to the motor. ;)
