Default X vs Y vs H

Everyone talks about the difference in sound between a ordinary and a true dual exhaust. But can anyone explain the actual performance differences in an exhaust designed with X-pipe vs a H-pipe vs a Y-pipe? Is there a difference in low-end torque vs high-end torque or what?

Default Re: X vs Y vs H

going from a h-pipe to an x pipe you will gain low end torque and mid range to upper end rwhp.
