Default Best Cat-Back / Header combo

I just bought my car a month ago and I am looking for my first mods which will include a cat-back and lid. I have heard some sound clips and like the LM and Corsa. For the price the LM sounds like a better choice but I have heard that once you put headers on it will be way too loud. Any suggestions on a cat-back that will sound great even after you put headers on? I dont want to buy something and then change it once i put headers on down the road. As for the lid, I have a 02 SS should I just go with a simple lid and K&N because i'm not sure a FTRA or FIPK will be beneficial at all with the factory ram air the ss comes with. Any suggestions are appreciated, Im a N00b when it comes to Camaros so please bear with me...

both are great choices. i have qtp headers w/ no cats and a corsa exhaust. i love it!corsa is top quality! if you like loud than the lm is the way to go but yes, w/ headers the lm is going to be loud.(to loud for me) since i dont have cats i got an exhaust w/ a muffler to help quiet it down some. but i also have a qtp cutout that i can open anytime via switch and get pretty loud.so my vote goes for qtp headers , a electronic cutout, and for an exhaust either b&b triflow, corsa, or the gmmg chambered. good luck

I'd go hooker all the way. That's what I plan on doing.

QTP LT's, Sutton's X-Pipe, Bassani (dual inlet/dual outlet muffler)

That's what I'm getting. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

98_WS6...... where can you get a hold of the Bassani, and how much is it? I've talked with Sutton, and plan on using his kit. He mentioned the Bassani being quieter. Has anyone installed Sutton's kit w/out needing a muffler shop, or are there too many tweaks needed??

You can use the FTRA and the FIPK toghter BUT it looses the seal that makes the FTRA work. And for headers id get the QTPs they are really good give Barry a call and talk to him about them. It all comes down to what you want the car to sound like. listen to cars in person, not online it doesnt give it justice. good luck dude!
