anyone have a pic of the removable steering wheel setup on a transam/camaro (4th gen) I'd like to get one once I put the cage in. Also, how's everyone hooking up the horn to work with these setups, or is that a no no?

put the horn on a push button on the dash...That is what we do....There is nothing like honking the horn on the line at the track to get a crew member's attention on an 8 second car.

Could always relocate it to the dash, that's not a big deal I guess... I just figured it would be nice to still have it on the steering wheel. One of those button's thats' meant for a LL or a T-brake would probably work too.. seeing as my T brake is on the shifter button, and LL is in the console.

Take a look at brads car... He has one & we're throwing one on my car too... makes it alot easier to get in & out past the cage.

Haha.... Yeah I'm 6'2" 240lbs... It is a pain trying to slip by the stock wheel.. But Ken left the stock wheel because he like the "stock" look.

Let us know when you do it I'll help you out.

I'm about 6'3" and abotu 270... so if you are having a hard time, how you think I feel LOL!

Sounds good. I'll get the parts eventually, probably over the winter, add it to the list. The list keeps gettign bigger too.. k member, a arms upper and lower, LW brakes, abs delete, tcs/cruise/radio/speaker/doorbar delete, have cage done, steering wheel and kirkey seats done.... as you can see, I have lots of work to do. I'm gonna try to have the seats before the cage goes in, so when it gets done they can make a bracket to mount them in too at the same time... it's gonna be no small task to make a cage I can get in and out of easily that's for sure, esp. since I don't want swingouts, I want the bars weleded in solid for structure strenth.

That's what I did. All the street-legal classes specify that you must have a working horn, not that it has to be in the stock location.

I had a picture of mine installed, but I don't think I have it uploaded. I'll look for it tonight and try to post it.

You mean the club won't work on a removable steering wheel?
