Default Thinking of getting an 03 Cobra

Man the prices of the Cobras are looking good. I have seen 2 in the last month go for around 20k. I love my SS but i really want forced induction..The SS is paid for so if i sold it i would have a 10k car payment if i got a good deal on a Cobra.. I would need a pully ASAP I have drove a Camaro since i was 16,22 years to to be exact and Mustangs have been to bad guys I guess getting older changes the way you think..

lol yea i'm gonna have to be one of them. for that 10k, you can buy a supercharger and build up your bottom end so your motor is forged and strong as diamonds, and you'll absolutely DESTROY a stock cobra, probably even a pullied one. unless you're TIRED of camaros, get the cobra. if you still like the SS better but just want the speed, i find it foolish to take that 10k and come out with a slower car.

03 cobra's get my approval but to be honest id rather have a FI camaro SS.

the difference in price would give you PLENTY of room to build a ***** fast camaro

Totally agree with that... You have the option of supercharger or even turbo charger (sts, etc.) on the camaro, and could easily hand it to a cobra with significant mods if you play your cards right... Although I do love the cobras... In the end its all up to you.

l would say drop into a big block and built it and put a supercharger on it and cobras will see who is the boss.

or just get a blower and beat cobra's asses.. that time LS1 and cobras would be even, blower vs. blower..

Those 03-04 cobras are nice. But you could easily make an SS faster than a cobra with a pulley and a few other mods, And save yourself some money too. In the end it's all up to you. But I owned a mustang once(they say don't dog it til you tried it) and I'll never own another one. I don't think anyways.

Pulley and a few other mods? Hope one of the other mods is a SC,Turbo or 150 shot of Nitrous

I love my LS1 but if I could get an 03 or 04 Cobra for a good price I'd do it. I've owned 2 other mustangs and liked them both. The 03 and 04 Cobra are demon fast and can be made even faster with a few bolt ons. Just my opinion.

x2, i know you can add at Sts system on your car and this and that and it will probably take a stock cobra but lets be real who's got a stock cobra? Most guys are at the full amount of boltons they can have. Also a lot of them have twin screws. I am all for the cobra however if you want to stay on the dark side i would build your engine like a brick sh*t house and spray 250 on it....not to many cobras can touch you then.

add a pulley to a bad system add watch the weak points come out. Bye bye tranny. Have funny the ford will be broke the first time you lay the power down. don't believe me, call tremec they will tell you the tranny in those things are junk. Do some research on some mustang forums you'll see. Ah what am I complaining about, I guess it is just one more person to pass right?

Your on LS1Tech, 99% of people will say "WHY PAY 10,000$ for something slower when you could bigblock this and turbocharge that"

Cobras are NICE *** cars. They sound amazing and with i/h/e, pulley and a Tune they are ridiculously fast. It'd be newer, paint would most likely be in better shape, Lower miles most likely.

03/04 snakes are Beautiful cars and are not to be underestimated when starting to be modded. I say go for it try something different for a while if you dont like it come back to the dark side

10k wont go very far if you want to do a FI right, especially if built upon a forged short/long block. i suggest you do your research on ls1's and FI in the FI section. ultimately it comes down to your goals and what you want to do with the car.
