How important are arp rod bolts?590hp

Default How important are arp rod bolts?590hp

Im spinning my motor to 6600-67000rpm, do i need to change to arp rod bolts. Im spraying 150 and making about 590hp at the wheels. Mods in sig, plus fast90/90,tsp ls6 heads,svo injectors.Thanks

It would be ok for insurance that is for sure. They are not *needed* You arent really going higher than 7k so it might not be completely necessary. But a few $'s can be better than a new shortblock.

I think a busted shortblock is a blessing. That means 408 time!

So when u blow a shortblock you magicly have money that you didnt have when the car was running? Its not exactly a blessing either when you trash your aftermarket heads.

I'd do the Katech rod bolts for the added insurance. I just did them but then again I have my engine out of my car.

I'd go for studs personally. Never have to clean bolt holes and the nuts torque down easy.
