Default Will removing the baffels in the valve covers cause excessive oil into the intake?

I have ETP heads and I removed the baffels in the valve covers so I would not have to buy valve cover spacers. A few weeks ago I was fooling around with my throttle body and removed it. Then I noticed a puddle of oil in my intake. I placed my hand inside the intake (90mm) and it was covered with oil when I removed it. So I decided I need a catch can which I installed today. I drove from my place to the gym which is maybe 10 miles away. When I got there I opened the hood and looked at the catch can. It was a quarter full already! That seems excessive. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yes, removing the baffles will make a big difference.

What you stated is why I am using the spacers on my ET headed motor. Now, the baffles are in tact and I have an AMW catch can on a 480RWHP N/A motor and not a spot of oil anywhere.
