Default 2nd gear gone

Well I changed the cam out and had it retuned on the dyno and we never could get 2nd gear to quite banging the rev limiter. The dyno man would say it was the tranny and the tranny shop said it was the computer. The dyno man was right 2nd gear is now toast. Now the question is the car is putting down 351 rhp and I've always thought 4l60e's could handle 400. Would I be better off letting a local shop rebuilt it. I can have the corvette servos put it and the Zpack raybestos race clutches for $1500 or should I go after market to someone like TCI's streetfighter trannys. This is the 2nd rebuilt in 2yrs and I'm really started enjoying running at the local dragstrip. What are my best options.

I would look into buying a built one. One of our level 4 units will do the trick for you. Please give us a call if your interested. Thank you, Vince.

For what you will pay the local shop for a mild performance rebuild you can get the the Level 4 that Vince is talking about for a couple hundred more. Check out their site.
